Your Pilot Academy collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Your Pilot Academy’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how visitors use this website.

Your Pilot Academy also collects information about you during the course purchase process (PayPal and/or Stripe). The dates you make purchases, login to the site, or cancel/pause/resume your subscriptions with us as well as information relating to your course progression and test performance. When you subscribe with us, we’ll ask you to provide an email address. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

– send you information about your account and subscriptions. This may include payment receipts, password reset emails, and payment reminders.
– create your membership account

We store course progress, including completion status, test scores, assignments and/or essay submissions (if applicable). We will also store comments and feedback on courses, lessons, topics, assignments, and essays if you choose to leave them.

Your Pilot Academy may use first and third party cookies and other tracking technologies to manage our Site and our services and collect analytics about how you use them. The information provided throughout this Privacy Policy about cookies also applies to these other tracking technologies. Aggregated Statistics

Your Pilot Academy may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, Your Pilot Academy may monitor the most popular pages on the website or use spam screened by the Akismet service and/or Google reCAPTCHA to help identify spam. Your Pilot Academy may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, Your Pilot Academy does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

We keep contact form submissions for future reference. Submissions are stored for customer service purposes, we do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes unless specific approval has been provided by the user.

We use MonsterInsights to monitor and analyze the use of our website and services.

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

We share information with third parties who help us provide additional services to you; for example

– our email service provider SendInBlue through Fluent SMTP, SendInBlue handles all of our emails. 

– our payment gateways, Stripe and PayPal. See the “Payments” section below for more information.  


We provide paid products and services. We use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors).

We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.

Who on our team has access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, site Owner/Administrators can access:

Order information such as your membership subscriptions, enrolled courses, course progress, payment dates and amounts, and username / email address.

Any additional information added in your Member Profile can also be visible to the Administrator(s).

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. Deleting your user account is only possible by contacting us directly. You can do so by sending us a messageWe store information about you for as long as your account exists.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

To export your data: Navigate to your Account Settings / Export Data and click on “Request Data Export”. An email will be sent to you to verify the request. Then the site Administrators will review your request and if approved, a zip file will be generated and emailed to you.

Where we send your data

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to (and maintained) on computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

How We Protect Your Data

All of our data is obtained through secure connections by use of SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol. Our servers are secured by two factor authentication and firewalls. The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

What Data Breach Procedures We Have In Place

We have monitoring systems in place that send out notifications the moment a breach has been detected. Backups are made on a daily basis. This allows us to quickly revert to an unaffected version of our system setup.
