We are an independent company that has no commercial connection with any flight school or airline. The information and the content on the Site has been submitted to us by customers and selection/assessment candidates, sharing their experience with us after attending flight school and airline assessments. The content on the Site should be used for general informational purposes only.
You may not post violent, nude, partially nude, discriminatory, unlawful, infringing, hateful, pornographic or sexually suggestive photos or other content. What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Your Pilot Academy collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Your Pilot Academy’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how visitors use this website.
Your Pilot Academy also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on our articles.

We store course progress, including completion status, test scores, assignments and/or essay submissions (if applicable). We will also store comments and feedback on courses, lessons, topics, assignments, and essays if you choose to leave them.
Your Pilot Academy may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, Your Pilot Academy may monitor the most popular pages on the yourpilotacademy.com website or use spam screened by the Akismet service and/or Google reCAPTCHA to help identify spam. Your Pilot Academy may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, Your Pilot Academy does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
We keep contact form submissions for future reference. Submissions are stored for customer service purposes, we do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes unless specific approval has been provided by the user.

Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
We share information with third parties who help us provide additional services to you; for example
– our email service provider SendInBlue through Fluent SMTP, SendInBlue handles all of our emails.
– our payment gateways, Stripe and PayPal. See the “Payments” section below for more information.
We provide paid products and services. We use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors).
Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, site Owner/Administrators can access:
Order information such as your membership subscriptions, enrolled courses, course progress, payment dates and amounts, and username / email address.
Any additional information added in your Member Profile can also be visible to the Administrator(s).
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. Deleting your user account is only possible by contacting us directly. You can do so by sending us a message. We store information about you for as long as your account exists.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
To export your data: Navigate to your Account Settings / Export Data and click on “Request Data Export”. An email will be sent to you to verify the request. Then the site Administrators will review your request and if approved, a zip file will be generated and emailed to you.

We have monitoring systems in place that send out notifications the moment a breach has been detected. Backups are made on a daily basis. This allows us to quickly revert to an unaffected version of our system setup.
